Negative experience: DIRECT TRAVEL by VIRTUOSO DIRECT TRAVEL= WORST TRAVEL AGENCY They clame to provide personalized experiences, I will say, they provide nightmares experiences. Although we didn’t sleep much during our vacations. I did the mistake to trust Camille at DIRECT TRAVEL. She not only did not sent us to hotels that corresponded to my family interests and preferences but she sent us to the worst hotels. But because we booked with DIRECT TRAVEL, we couldn’t get any compensation or reimbursement ounce there. We were stock in hotels rooms that I will not recommend to my worst enemy. We asked for 5 stars, maybe got 3 stars but lower quality. I never experienced hotels that bad and in such terrible location. In London our hotel, TOWER SUITES By Blue Orchid was located in a ruff neighbourhood. We didn’t feel safe and we were far from respectable restaurants. We literally had to walk through homeless people to get to the lobby of the hotel. We even witness a shoplifting. This hotel was so noisy that we couldn’t sleep day or night. It was in front of a large boulevard and a major tube. Arrived in Edinburgh, we thought the worst was being us…well, it was quite the opposite, she sent us to, what a can call, a tourist trap. The hotel, CHEVAL GRAND, looked nice but a very noisy tramway was passing in front of it every 2 minutes. It was like it was in our room. Everything was shaking each time. Again, the hotel was located on a busy boulevard surrounded by not the best safe and clean places. The hotel was a popular place for wedding. We had to endure all the noise day and night and then, the cleaning crew was starting to work at 6am making so much noise that I’m wondering which was the worst between them and the tramway. On top of that, at CHEVAL GRAND, we got stock in the very small elevator with other people for 45 minutes…the thing was that we couldn’t take the stairs instead because the access to the door was blocked. We are lucky that there was no emergency like a fire. Again, that hotel couldn’t do anything to help like it was DIRECT TRAVEL who was holding our money. Especially in Edinburgh the hotel was not at all in the tourist area. We were very far from the main interests. When we returned home, we expressed our misadventure but they ignored us. Believe me, you don’t want to deal with this travel agency. Even if we had a very good budget, they sent us to hotels that not only I will have paid much less to stay but absolutely not book at all. And put those 2 hotels on your black list: Tower Suites by Blue Orchid Cheval Grand Edinburgh
